Lisa Creecy is a non-traditional student taking online classes at Eastern New Mexico University. She is earning her master's degree in education with an emphasis in gifted education pedagogy. She is motivated to earn her degree so she can advance in the education field as a special education teacher.

From Santa Fe, New Mexico, Lisa hopes to open up more opportunities for herself in the field while learning as much as she can.

She considered Eastern after a well-trusted mentor and ENMU alum suggested she attend. Lisa was impressed with the "exceptional customer service" the university had to offer and their willingness to answer all of her questions. That's when she decided to attend. 

Since enrolling, she has enjoyed the rigorous academic courses ENMU has offered her.

"All of the professors I have had so far have challenged my thinking and hold high expectations for me," she said.

Lisa will continue to pursue her degree from her home in Santa Fe.

"ENMU offers an excellent graduate studies program for education students!" she said.
