College Level Examination Program (CLEP)

When you do well on a College Level Examination Program (CLEP) test as an ENMU student, you can earn the same amount of credit that you'd get if you took and passed a college course covering the same material. With this program, you will receive college credit that can:

  • Enhance your degree
  • Allow you to skip beginner courses
  • Able you to take higher level courses faster
  • Help determine your readiness for classes
  • Apply knowledge you already have
  • Save money on books and tuition

Evaluation and Credits

You may earn credit from CLEP tests on the list below. To receive credit, you must provide an official score report to the Office of the Registrar. If you are a transfer student, we accept the credits reported on your official transcripts from accredited colleges or universities. You cannot receive CLEP credit for a course for which you already received credit, or it's equivalent. For questions about CLEP test scores for which credit will be awarded, contact the Office of the Registrar, 575.562.2175.
