I have been the radio broadcaster for football, basketball, volleyball, and baseball on both the high school and college level since 1996. I co-hosted the MIX 107.5 Morning Show from 1999 to 2001, and have co-hosted The Morning Throwdown on 105.9, KSEL-Country since 2001. Since 2012, I have hosted ?Sportslook? on KENW TV. I have three grandsons, who I hope will all one day attend ENMU!.
Research Interests
I began my career as a historian of the American Space Program, and I still occasionally am asked to write reviews of books on that subject. Since the mid-1990s, however, I have concentrated most of my research efforts on the American Civil War.

Bio
'm from Las Cruces, and my wife, Dee, is from here in Portales (maiden name Rackler). We have 4 daughters, so of course now we have son-in-laws, and grandkids galore. I got my bachelors in secondary math ed from NMSU and then a masters in divinity and PhD from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth. I taught religion classes at Howard Payne University in Texas for about 15 years while I was being a pastor, teaching math, or directing the HPU El Paso extension center. I have been here at ENMU since the Fall of 2011 teaching Religion classes and serving as the director of the Baptist Student Union (BSU) Christian Challenge. New Testament Survey is one of my favorite classes to teach, because I think it is the most extraordinary and influential document ever written.
