The Department of Communication offers both undergraduate and graduate degrees. ENMU's dynamic communication programs prepare you to meet the challenges of a media-convergent society. By combining theory and research with professional, hands-on experience, we provide the opportunity for you to explore the rich history and tradition of communication, media literacy and criticism, and ethical responsibility in communication.
ENMU Communication Degrees
At the undergraduate level, you may pursue a Bachelor of Arts in Communication or a Bachelor of Science in Communication with an emphasis in one of the five areas: Broadcast Journalism, Broadcast Production, Journalism, Sports Media, or Public Relations. And we offer a Bachelor of Applied Arts and Science with a concentration in Communication.
We also offer the following six minors: Communication Studies, Health Communication, Journalism, Public Relations, Public Relations Management, or Social Media Marketing.
At the graduate level, we offer a Master of Arts in Communication degree.

Journalism Program
Our program will help prepare you for a successful career as a journalist with necessary theoretical knowledge and practical skills to thrive in the field.
Broadcast Journalism Program
Our program will help prepare you for a successful career as a Broadcast Journalist by developing your writing, media, and theoretical skills.
Broadcast Production Program
Our program will help prepare you for a successful career as a professional Broadcast Producer with essential skills and training in both television and web-based environments.
Sports Media Program
Our program will help prepare you for a successful career in Sports Media by developing a solid skill and practical base of essential broadcasting and journalism techniques focused on sports.
BAAS in Communication Program
Our program will help prepare you for a successful communication-related career in developing leadership skills needed for careers in producing, directing, management, or research positions within the industry.
Master's in Communication Program
Our program will help prepare you for successful career advancement in Communications by offering practical and hands on experience, building on the foundational principals.
Hands on Experience
Whether you prefer writing for a newspaper, hosting your own radio program or reporting for a television newscast, Eastern offers you the chance to get real-life experience doing what you love.
