The Sept. 10 broadcast was made possible by alumni support, and, of course, the amazing communications students at ENMU. KENW was able to use six cameras along with instant replay and custom graphics to present a program that could compare to what a viewer would see on the major sports networks.
Alumni Gary Marsh, Tom Carey and Zach Armstrong along with Glenn Graham and Bazz McClain provided production support and training with the new equipment, including the two large Canon 72x Super Digi lenses for those up close and personal shots of the players and coaches. Phil Scott and Carl Twibell, also alumni, were gracious enough to donate their time to travel and provide professional commentary for the inaugural broadcast. The program was carried on both channels 3-1 and 3-2, covering the entire state of New Mexico along with other counties in Texas and Colorado.
Live coverage for the remaining five football games will be carried on 3-3. KENW TV would like to thank all of those involved in making the broadcast, as well as the event as a whole, possible.
