Dawg Days 2021 is almost here! The celebration, which is led by Dawg Days counselors, takes place from Aug. 14–16.

Which year did you go through Dawg Days? What was your favorite part?
2020 Dawg Days was super unconventional, obviously, but my favorite part of Dawg Days (and kind of my semesters in general) was probably just the fact I got to see how flexible and caring people have the ability to be in hard times.
Which part of Dawg Days are you looking forward to the most?
I'm looking forward to just being in person with people. I didn't get to have an in-person Dawg Days, so I'm thrilled to get to be a part of this one!
Jessica Pipkin

Which year did you go through Dawg Days? What was your favorite part?
2019 was my Dawg Days! I was on the blue team. I loved how many friends I was able to make and how welcomed I felt.
Which part of Dawg Days are you looking forward to the most?
I can't wait to meet the new students and help them learn how amazing Eastern can be. Go Hounds!

2020, I loved how I felt connected even though it was an online event last year.
Which part of Dawg Days are you looking forward to the most?
Seeing people and making new friends! Also, performing with my cheer team and being allowed to participate in so many groups.

Which year did you go through Dawg Days? What was your favorite part?
Fun fact! I actually never did Dawg Days; I was a transfer student and arrived late to campus, so I only caught the tail end of Dawg Days. Which is was it's important to me to be part of it, even if it's as a counselor. Nothing beats being part of the Greyhound family.
Which part of Dawg Days are you looking forward to the most?
This is my second round of Dawg Days, so I'm excited to actually be able to interact with the campers in person rather than through a computer screen. Granted, it was still fun and an amazing experience, but there's just something different about having everyone back on campus.

I went through Dawg Days in 2019. My favorite part was the dance party the first night.

I'm looking forward to seeing the new Greyhounds and welcoming them into ENMU!

I went through Dawg Days in 2019. My favorite part was finding the flashcards under the seats to win gift cards!

I am most looking forward to welcoming the new freshmen onto campus for the first time since 2019.

2018. My favorite part was the energy of the counselors, and how friendly they were even after Dawg Days was over.

Meeting and hyping freshmen up about being in college and showing them it can be fun.

2019. My favorite part was all of the friends that I got to meet!

I am looking forward to meeting the upcoming freshmen and having the chance to potentially be someone's first friend!

2020. Getting tours of how the portal and blackboard work, as well as finding out where everything is located on the ENMU website, was super helpful.

Meeting all of the new incoming first-years and hanging out with them over the weekend!

My first time as a Dawg Days counselor was in 2020. My favorite part was the dance that we did; I still know it and dance to the song every time it comes on.
Which part of Dawg Days are you looking forward to the most?
I am looking forward to being in person this year and getting to see and meet the incoming freshmen face-to-face. And the dances, I love the dances!

2018. The pep rally was my favorite part. It was awesome meeting so many people while having opportunities to win scholarships and merch!
Which part of Dawg Days are you looking forward to the most?
Everything (but dance practice). I want to give the incoming Greyhounds an incredible experience they'll never forget!

My first Dawg Days was fall of 2018 as an incoming freshman. My favorite part was making really great friends and watching the counselors dance!
Which part of Dawg Days are you looking forward to the most?
I am really looking forward to seeing campus come back to life with students, staff and faculty. There is such an exciting and inspiring energy at the beginning of the year that I have really missed.
