Q. What are the main duties of your job?
I recruit potential students from community colleges and answer any questions they may have about the university. I also advise new transfer students and do my best to help make their transition as smooth and easy as possible.

Q. What have you enjoyed most about your job, and what have been the biggest challenges?
I have enjoyed getting to talk to so many different people about how great ENMU is! The biggest challenge is probably answering some of the questions that people have. But I am constantly learning and that makes it even more fun!

Q. Where were you born, raised, and what was your life like growing up (what did parents do, siblings, etc.)?
I was born and raised here in Portales. I am blessed with a great family and had an awesome childhood! I have one sister, Adrianna, my partner in crime. We were very close growing up and are still very close. She will graduate from ENMU in May. My dad worked for and retired from the City of Portales. My mother stayed home and raised us, then went back to school, graduated from ENMU, and now works at EPCAA Head Start.

Q. Tell us about your own family?
I have a very big, close extended family. I have seven cousins that graduate high school the same year as me, and it was fun growing up with them. Most of my family is here in Portales and we see each other often!

Q. What are your hobbies?
I like to watch and play sports (especially basketball), go to concerts, watch movies, travel, and getting involved with my church St. Helen's.

Q. What gives your life meaning? Besides career goals, what else do you hope to accomplish?
My faith gives my life meaning and my relationships with friends and family. I hope to be a good husband and father someday, leading my family closer to Christ.

I love both Portales and Eastern! It's home.
