The Bachelor of Career and Technical Education (BCTE) is an online degree program that allows prospective and current career and technical education instructors and trainers to obtain a Bachelor of Career and Technical Education degree in career and technical education. Our program prepares you for licensure in Career and Technical Education to teach in secondary schools, as well as to prepare career and technical education instructors and trainers to teach in community and technical colleges, trade and technical institutes, and in business and industry settings
Our program will be the most helpful if you possess or meet the requirements for an Associate of Applied of Science (A.A.S.) degree earned a Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) accredited institution. Your credit hours are used toward 30-58 of the required credit hours for our program.

Learning Format For Career and Technical Education
Our career and technical education program is designed to be completed 100% online. You will complete assignments, readings, tests, and projects throughout the semester. Recorded lectures via Panopto will connect you with professors and other students on your own time. Your participation, using Panopto and Canvas, related to recorded lectures is done on your own schedule, rather than during a specific time.

Career and Technical Education Resources
We want to make sure you get the support you need. We offer flexible tutoring services, including the ENMU Writing Center which is available to help you improve your writing and help you clearly communicate for written, school-related projects and assignments.
We also have online databases, journal articles and eBooks accessible through the Golden Library. ENMU librarians are available virtually, via phone and email to provide assistance, so you'll always have the help you need to take advantage of library resources.

Scholarships and Financial Assistance
ENMU is committed to helping you finance your education. As a career and technical education student you can apply for the Olmsted Scholarship or the Family and Consumer Sciences Leadership Scholarship. You can find more information about admissions scholarships and find out why more than $22 million in financial assistance was awarded to ENMU students last year. Once you are an enrolled ENMU student, there are additional scholarships available.
Career Opportunities in Career and Technical Education
Following a supervised classroom internship you can opt to join educationally centered organizations or organizations centered on business development. Potential fields of specialization you may bring to this program include but are not limited to the following: automotive technology, aviation technology, business equipment repair, computer animation, computer information systems, construction trades, cosmetology, criminal justice, culinary arts, diesel equipment technology, drafting/design technology, electronics, food service, graphic arts, hospitality services, heating and ventilation and air conditioning, machine tool technology, water treatment management and welding.
In addition to the guidance that is available from faculty advisors, ENMU Career Services offers free job placement assistance to all ENMU students.
