Portales, NM – Nov. 8, 2021– Eastern New Mexico University is hosting a Veterans Day ceremony for the University and local communities on Thursday, Nov. 11, from 10 a.m. to noon at the Campus Union (CUB), Ballroom at ENMU-Portales, followed by a reception.
The ceremony will feature guest presentations from retired Army 1st Sgt. Dr. Robert Schneider, veteran Army Sgt. Benito Gonzales, and Air Force Lt. Kristin Rowe.
Retired Air Force Capt. Ron Hodnett, the ENMU military affairs coordinator, will lead a Fallen Comrades presentation and the Cannon Air Force Base Color Guard will present the posting of colors.
"I am honored to plan and host the Veterans Day celebration," Hodnett said. "ENMU is proud to recognize and honor veterans and family members who have served or are currently serving our nation."
Door prizes will be given away during the reception following the ceremony.
