PORTALES, NM — Eastern New Mexico University has earned the 2021–22 Military Friendly® Silver School designation.
Institutions earning the Military Friendly® School designation were evaluated using both public data sources and responses from a proprietary survey. More than 1,200 schools participated in the 2021–22 survey, with 747 earning the designation.
The 2021–22 Military Friendly® Schools list will be published in the May issue of G.I. Jobs magazine and can be found at www.militaryfriendly.com.
"Eastern New Mexico University is thrilled to secure a Military Friendly® designation for our programs and campus services," said ENMU President Dr. Patrice Caldwell. "This designation brings high-caliber students to the University, including veterans, active duty military and dependents, National Guard and Reserves, and survivors of disabled or deceased veterans; we welcome them and the opportunity to serve their educational needs. Our partnership with the military community is a point of pride for ENMU and always will be."
Methodology, criteria and weightings were determined by military marketing network Viqtory, with input from the Military Friendly® Advisory Council of independent leaders in the higher education and military recruitment community. Final ratings were determined by combining the institution's survey response set and government/agency public data sources, within a logic based scoring assessment. Viqtory measured ENMU's ability to meet thresholds for student retention, graduation, job placement, loan repayment, persistence (degree advancement or transfer), and loan default rates for all students and, specifically, for student veterans.
