The senior claimed the all-around title for the rodeo after strong showings in the breakaway roping and barrel race. Tanner Jackson placed fourth in the steer wrestling to lead the men's team to a sixth-place finish.
The women's team accumulated 322.5 points, followed by West Texas A&M. The performance vaulted Eastern into first place in the regional standings.
Gray won the breakaway roping with a time of 5.1 seconds on two after she split sixth in the first round. She also took second in the barrel race with a total time of 34.32 on two runs.
The barrel race continued to be a strong event for ENMU, with Ariana Sanchez and Bailey Harwell finishing fifth and seventh. Sanchez took third in the first go, while Sanchez placed fifth.
Lindsey Adcock and Saige Bell performed well for Eastern in the goat tying. Adcock took fourth, with an average of 15 seconds on two, after a fourth-place performance in the short round. Bell placed fifth with an average of 15.7 seconds on two, after a fifth-place finish in the short round.
Tarleton State won the men's rodeo with 480 points, while New Mexico Junior College was second with 340 points. Eastern picked up 200 points.
Jackson had a time of 5.7 seconds on the first go in the steer wrestling, but bounced back to claim second in the short round and finish fourth in the average. Sid Hart reached the short round with a time of 5.5 seconds in the first go.
In the team roping, Luke Hisel and Brandon Muniz roped their first steer in 6.7 seconds to make the short round. In the short round, the duo placed fourth to finish fourth in the average. Bryce Howe paired with Abby Medlin (Tarleton State) to reach the short round in the event.
The ENMU rodeo teams will continue their fall schedule next weekend at Clarendon College.
