The Eastern New Mexico University Foundation works diligently to ensure that students are provided opportunities for financial support from generous donors and alumni. The ENMU Foundation awards over $400,000 in scholarships to Eastern's students each year.

How to Get Started
The best to way to start this procedure is to be organized. Make sure you do your research first by reviewing the scholarships you qualify for.
The scholarships fall into different categories; some are from specific colleges and departments, some are general and some are from Athletics.
Create a list of the scholarships that you meet the requirements for from each category. You can also copy and paste the scholarship name and information into a Word document to keep everything organized. Do whichever method will help you the best.
What's with Applications 1-7?
You may be asking, why are there seven application forms? These are forms that contain questions about your financial status and includes the list of scholarships that you need to check off. The number of application signifies the department it belongs to.
Each scholarship varies, for example, some require for applications 5 and 7, while others only require application 5. Be sure to double-check to make sure to attach the correct application(s) to each scholarship.
Here is a list of applications:
Application 1: College of Business Scholarships
Application 2: College of Educational and Technology Scholarships
Application 3: College of Fine Arts Scholarships
Application 4: College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Scholarships
Application 5: ENMU Foundation-General Scholarships
Application 6: Athletics Scholarships
Application 7: Statement of Financial Need
Wow! This is a Lot of Paper.
As you begin to print your scholarship applications along with essays, resume, letters, etc., you will find that you are printing out quite a bit of paper.
Each scholarship must be a separate packet, which is stapled together along with all that each scholarship entails. You may find that one packet (scholarship) can contain up to 10 pages.
If you are on campus and worried about the number of pages you have left in your account for the semester, I wouldn't worry about the cost of buying more. You will be investing your five dollars' worth of paper for hundreds of dollars' worth of scholarships. Think of it as an investment for your future.
I Printed It, Now What?
After you have completed printing, turn in the completed forms to the specified office. On the "Foundation Scholarships Overview," locate the building identified for each scholarship. If you are an online student, you may mail them to the address on the form.
Last Thing
Don't forget that you have until Feb. 15, 2018, to complete your application. I strongly suggest that the word "procrastination" does not dwell in your brain during the submission period. As my father always says to me, "Take advantage of the opportunity for free money."
Lastly, here is a list of what you need to do once awarded your scholarship(s). This list is provided by the ENMU Foundation:
All scholarship recipients who receive an ENMU Foundation scholarship must adhere to the following:
- Send a letter to thank the donors of the scholarship
- Return the "Acceptance Agreement" form to the ENMU Foundation
- Attend the annual awards assembly
Failure to comply will result in the loss of the scholarship.
