The guest lecturer for the 17th Annual Cynthia Irwin-Williams Lectureship is Michael F. Brown, president of the School for Advanced Research in Santa Fe.
Brown will discuss the paradoxical effects of Christian conversion among the Jivaroan Awajun people of eastern Peru. He will highlight what the story says about the limits of ethnographic representation, and his books will be available for purchase.
