Summary: The City of Santa Fe is searching for a qualified applicant to supervise, plan and coordinate recreational, instructional and educational programs and activities for children ages 6-12 at various school sites for the Summer Youth Program within the Community Services Department.

Qualifications: Education and Experience
High school diploma or equivalent
One (1) year experience in recreational, instructional and educational activities such as arts, crafts, sports, games and the applicable equipment.


Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Considerable knowledge of assigned program(s) supervisory techniques program development effective communication and interpersonal relations.
Considerable skill working in a supervisory or teaching position in the areas of recreational, educational and instructional programming for youths ages 6-12.

Special Qualifications
Must successfully pass background investigation. Must possess a valid driverís license and obtain a City of Santa Fe driving permit. Mandatory CPR and First Aid Training will be provided by the City of Santa Fe upon hiring.

Duties: Supervises and coordinates activities of assigned site plans and implements programs.Ensures policies, procedures, rules and regulations are enforced.Provides assistance and training to site personnel.Evaluates need for and recommends additional site equipment, resources and personnel. Supervises and evaluates staff. Prepares required reporting documents. Performs a variety of site related administrative tasks associated with scheduling and management of assigned equipment, finances, personnel and other resources. Performs general maintenance and cleaning of facility and ensures the closure of facility at the end of each workday. Performs related duties and duties of subordinates as needed. Attends staff meeting and training as required. Supervises, plans and coordinates recreational, instructional and educational programs and activities for children ages 6-12. Interacts with children and youth with physical and/or mental disabilities as needed on a daily basis.
