Summary: Sales Specialists Position – Food & Product Demo

Our Client, a Fortune 50 national retailer has contracted with Advantage Sales and Marketing to drive sustainable, measurable sales growth of their key products in strategic retail locations. Advantage Sales and Marketing will hire, train and deploy an expert team of Field demonstration specialists focused on food and product demonstration, brand advocates and sales.

By distributing product samples and interacting with customers, our skilled Sales Specialists teach the public the features and benefits of our clients’ products and assist customers in purchasing the right products for their lifestyle.

Position Title: Sales Specialists
Reports to: District Sales Manager
Days: Thur, Fri, Sat, Sun
Rate: $11 per hour (not commission)
Location: Major Retailer in your area
Training Yes

Schedule

Weekly Schedule:
Thursday-Saturday: 10:00-4:30pm, Sunday: 12:30-7:00pm (up to 24 hours per week)
30 Minutes Lunch must be taken during work day.
Total hours available may vary from week to week and there will be days on which no demonstrations are scheduled in your location

Qualifications: Requirements

Experience in event marketing, demonstrations or retail/grocery is highly desirable
Friendly, outgoing personality; confidence and enthusiasm to engage retail shoppers
Ability to prepare and serve food samples utilizing cooking apparatus required for raw meats, produce, and other items
Reliable transportation to/from your specified location is required
Capable of light physical work; such as pushing demonstration carts and setting them up
Must pass pre-employment background check
Must pass pre-employment drug check
Must pass online Food Safety training exam
Outside employment that does not interfere with the responsibilities and schedule of this program
Must have reliable Internet access to receive schedule, updates, and submit event reports
Neat appearance; uniforms will be provided

Duties: Responsibilities

Setup and breakdown of demonstration event (demonstration cart provided at store; does not involve heavy lifting/strenuous physical work)
Purchase products and demonstration supplies (funds provided by Campaigners on purchase card in advance)
Execute demonstrations; prepare food, conduct sampling, engage audience, promote and educate consumers on products
Clean equipment and demonstration areas after use (clean individual cart and general demonstration area)
Build strong relationships with store managers and store customers
Report event success daily via our online reporting system
