Job Summary: These positions are being filled under Expedited Hiring Authority for Defense Acquisition Workforce Positions and Health Care Occupations. The Secretary of the Air Force has delegated authority by the Office Of the Secretary of Defense to directly appoint individuals to select defense acquisition workforce positions, or “EHA Acquisition”, pursuant to the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act and certain health care occupations, or “EHA Medical”. Positions are located Air Force-Wide. Positions may be filled as permanent, temporary or term with a full-time or part-time work schedule. Pay will vary by geographic location.

Duties: Perform professional computer engineering work supporting an installation or acquisition, development or sustainment of Air Force weapon systems and support equipment.
Apply the fundamentals and principles of computer engineering and mathematics to support existing and evolving network environments.
Provide support in areas such as operating systems, computer architecture, computer networks, robotics, artificial intelligence and computer-aided design.
Supply technical and engineering assistance in the areas of research, design, development, testing, evaluation and maintenance of computer hardware and software systems in an integrated manner.
Perform analysis and uses systematic, disciplined, quantifiable approaches to implement, develop, and document projects.
Develop, execute, and review policies, processes, and procedures of a special or miscellaneous character than may span multiple scientific and engineering disciplines and involves application of knowledge of such fundamentals.
Provides status and advisory services to superiors on problems, issues, and projects in assigned program areas.
Responsible for preparing oral/written reports and duties may include administering the resources required to execute projects.
May be responsible for the evaluation of contractor proposals or performance and assisting in preparation of the technical portion of proposals, statements of work, management plans and/or related documents. Duties and responsibilities vary and may increase according to grade level.
