Status: Full-time position
Location: Tulsa, OK
Job Summary: Under supervision of the Site Director, responsible for the total classroom operation per Federal Head Start Performance Standard 1304.21 and any additional standard referring to classroom activity. Provides day-to-day direction of assigned Teacher II and is responsible for involving the Teacher II in planning and execution of daily class room activities.
Qualifications: Bachelors Degree (or Higher) in Early Childhood Education
A baccalaureate or advanced degree with 12 or more Early Childhood college credit hours
A baccalaureate or advanced degree with an Infant/Toddler CDA
Duties: Comply with the education content mandates of the Head Start Performance Standards, program assessment, and work plans.
Administer Ages and Stages Questionnaires for initial developmental screening.
Utilize Curriculum software to track each child’s ongoing developmental skill level in the domains as required by the Head Start Performance Standards.
Utilize CAP-selected classroom support model to assist with classroom management.
Work cooperatively with all CAP employees, Family Support personnel, Parents, Volunteers and collaborative partners.
Conduct at least two home visits and parent conferences, per child, within the allotted time period. Participate in Family Child Review meetings once a month or as required.
Develop a daily schedule and weekly lesson plans based on observations, parental input, and developmentally appropriate practice.
Develop goals utilizing individualization form to meet each child’s developmental needs.
Complete required documentation including, but not limited to: Monthly Reports, Attendance, InKind, Meal Count, Family Contacts, and Child Injury Reports.
Meet Head Start Performance Standards, NAEYC accreditation standards and DHS licensing requirements.
Understand and utilize Agency curriculum for developmentally appropriate instruction.
Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
