Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree preferred. The degree(s) should be in a closely related field as outlined in this announcement. Minimum of five years relevant experience in an educational setting with knowledge and extensive experience in assessment/testing, evaluation methodology and institutional effectiveness activities required. Knowledge of organization and functions in education related to Federal and state governments required. Extensive knowledge and experience in strategic planning, program evaluation and outcomes required. Experience and facility with student data collection systems, data extraction, and statistical manipulation tools required. Mastery proficiency of computer applications and relational databases required such as Banner, Oracle, Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, Hyperion, and PowerPoint. Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills and a strong commitment to service required. Ability to effectively interact with various internal and external constituencies. Ability to listen, create consensus and assume responsibility. Demonstrated ability to carry comprehensive and large-scale projects through from conception to completion.
Master's degree preferred. Knowledge of state and federal regulations pertaining to a higher education environment or an educational setting.
Duties: The Institutional Researcher is responsible for administering a comprehensive, campus-wide, institutional research, analysis and effectiveness program. For developing, implementing and maintaining systems to collect data. Producing statistics, analyses, reports and reviews relative to internal and external requests for data. Planning and organizing regular internal and external reports and surveys including strategic plan document and process. In addition, to these duties, the first year of employment will also include responsibilities directly related to data requirements associated with the Title V grant. Plan, organize, direct, control, and supervise operations of Department of Institutional Research. Manage budget for office. Serve on various, appropriate University committees. Perform other duties as may be assigned. This position reports to the Vice President for Academic Affairs.
