Job Summary: The Accounting Clerk III Accounts Receivable prepares all third party billing functions and maintains student accounts; Reconciles non-credit course accounts to general ledger on a monthly basis; Posts ACH payments to student and third party accounts on a daily basis. Performs cashier activites (if needed). Also, performs collection activities for third party accounts; assists with making phone calls notifying students of possible void when tuition deposit has not been made; assist in weekly financial aid transmittal and prepares student refunds. Research and prepare adjustments to student accounts and general ledger, prepares third party aging report, and reconciles third party accounts monthly. Performs other duties as deemed necessary or assigned.
Qualifications: Required An Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent from a two year college or technical school. Two years related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience. This person must possess computer skills including database management and other software, excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills; must be detail oriented and have ability to maintain confidentiality.
