Job Summary: The Rocky Mountain Research Station (RMRS) is preparing to advertise a permanent full-time Safety & Occupational Health Specialist, GS-0018-12, position. This position is located in the Operations organization of the Rocky Mountain Research Station with the duty station in
Fort Collins, CO. The incumbent is responsible for the management of the Safety and Health Program for RMRS.

Persons currently at the GS-12 level or at the GS-11 and eligible for promotion to the GS-12 level are encouraged to express interest in this position.

This position will be located at Station headquarters in Ft. Collins, Colorado. The Station employs 90 Ph.D. level scientists in experimental forests, 12 laboratories, and university campuses throughout the 14 inter-mountain States. Qualifications: Those who are interested must meet the qualification requirements for the GS-0018 series that are covered by the U. S. Duties: Provides Advisory Services for Safety Programs and Projects, Performs On-Site Inspections Solicits Cooperationand Support to Ensure Program Success,Performs On-Site Inspections, Implements Safety and Occupational Health Program, Performs Formulation and Dissemination of Safety and Occupational Health Policy, Performs Safety and Occupational Health Program Planning and Design, Physical Security Work
