Job Summary: Fire and Aviation Management in the Southern Region is recruiting to fill the position of a Workforce Management Specialist GS-0201 or 0301 or 0401-13 that will work for the Regional office (R8), Atlanta, Georgia. This position will be advertised as a not to exceed three year position. The response to this outreach will help determine which job series the position may be advertised, it could be in either the 0201, 0301 or 0401 series. The Southern Region serves the National Forests in the 13 Southern States and Puerto Rico.

Qualifications:

Duties: The incumbent serves as a Program Manager working for either the Region 8 Director or Assistant Director for Fire and Aviation Management. The incumbent has the responsibility for providing leadership in the development and direction of workforce management and succession planning within fire and aviation.
