Christina Hall

Major: Music
Hometown: Albuquerque, N.M.

ENMU graduate Christina Hall knows how to shine in many venues—as a vocalist, as Miss New Mexico 2006 and as a leader in changing New Mexico’s identity theft laws.

Christina, who aspires to be on Broadway, earned a bachelor’s degree in music at ENMU in 2005. That year, she won the talent competition in the Miss New Mexico pageant, finishing as runner-up.

She turned her experience as a victim of identity theft into a platform issue during her reign as Miss New Mexico in 2006. With support from Gov. Bill Richardson and key legislators, Bill 720 was passed, making identity theft and Internet fraud a fourth-degree felony instead of a misdemeanor.

The graduate of La Cueva High School in Albuquerque says she always felt strong support at ENMU, where she served as a President’s Ambassador and student senator while earning multiple scholarships

“I’m so glad I chose ENMU,” she says. “I’m so happy that I can proudly claim I’m a Greyhound and will be a Greyhound forever.”
