Adam PenlandMajor: Forensic science
Adam Penland found the perfect fit in a college at ENMU, just 20 miles from home.
“If students from the area give Eastern a chance, they’ll fall in love with it, just like I did. I don’t see myself anywhere else for my undergraduate degree. “
The Clovis High School graduate is studying forensic science, one of ENMU's new interdisciplinary majors. Only about 20 other universities in the nation offer the major, which includes 35 hours of core course and a specialization in anthropology, biology or chemistry.
Some of Adam's favorite things to do in his spare time are playing video games, skateboarding and hanging out with friends.
But for his favorite sport, he’s willing to go the distance. Sipapu, a prime snowboarding spot south of Taos, is a few hours away. “It’s not crowded. It’s fantastic.” |
