Biology major Melissa Matsumura found her place with smaller classes and friendly faculty at Eastern.

Melissa, who graduated in May 2007, transferred to ENMU after attending the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque, where lab classes were large.

“I’m really glad I transferred to Eastern. I like the smaller classes. The teachers know who you are, and it’s easier to find people to study with.”

A President’s Ambassador at Eastern, Melissa also found plenty to do in her free time.

“I liked working out, watching movies, hanging out with friends and family, shopping, hiking, and playing racquetball, soccer and tennis," she says. "I took time to enjoy my last semester at ENMU!”
