How much is the Green and Silver Presidential Scholarship?

The annual award for the Green and Silver Presidential Scholarship is approximately $8,968. This not only covers tuition, fees and residence hall charges but also provides an additional $500 per semester. (Annual tuition, fees and residence hall charges for University managed housing total approximately $7,968. Annual awards are based on actual tuition, fees and double occupancy residence hall charges.)

 

What are the eligibility requirements for the Green and Silver Presidential Scholarship?

The Green and Silver Presidential Scholarship is for incoming freshmen who meet the following requirements:

  • New Mexico resident
  • New Mexico high school graduate in the semester preceding the first semester of attendance
  • 3.0 GPA and ACT composite of 27 (1210 SAT) or 3.5 GPA and ACT composite of 25 (1130 SAT)

 

How can I be considered for the Green and Silver Presidential Scholarship?

To be considered, make sure you’re fully admitted to ENMU and have a Green and Silver Presidential Scholarship Application on file by March 6.

 

When will I be notified if I received the Green and Silver Presidential Scholarship?

If you are selected for the Green and Silver Presidential Scholarship, you will be notified no later than April 10. ENMU will award a maximum of 10 Green and Silver Presidential Scholarships each year.

 

What are the requirements for continuing to receive the Green and Silver Presidential Scholarship?

  • First year (fall, spring semesters): Complete 15 hours per semester with a 3.0 GPA
  • Second and subsequent years: Complete 15 hours per semester with a 3.2 GPA
  • Students must meet eligibility requirements for the New Mexico Lottery Success Scholarship
  • Scholarship can be continued for up to eight semesters

 

Instructions to Applicant

To be considered for the Green and Silver Presidential Scholarship, complete the following by the scholarship deadline of March 6 for the fall semester.

  1. Be fully admitted by March 6. If you haven't applied yet, apply now!
  2. Have a Green and Silver Presidential Scholarship application on file by March 6
  3. Be a New Mexico resident and a New Mexico high school graduate
  4. Enroll full-time directly out of high school

Note: To receive the Green and Silver Presidential Scholarship, you must have a Free Application for Federal Student Aid(FAFSA) on file. Tuition portion of this award is funded by the N.M. Lottery Success Scholarship and ENMU Starter (bridge) Scholarship.
