ENMU Foundation Scholarships

If you are academically talented, you are invited to apply for scholarships. Scholarships are designed to reward, encourage and assist students in their pursuit of academic excellence and leadership roles.

Scholarships are not the only way to pay for college, though. Check with the Financial Aid office for more information on student loans, grants and other ways of paying for school.

Incoming freshmen or transfer students should check the Admission Scholarships.

  • Preference given to 1st generation college students

  • Criminal Justice majors/minors OR members of the Criminal Justice Association

  • Full-time or part-time students Eligible

  • Senior during effective date of award
  • Awards judged on overall academic achievements and extracurricular activities and involvement

Larry Razura Memorial Scholarship

Who is Eligible?
  • English majors planning a teaching career

  • English majors planning a teaching career
  • Full-time student
  • 3.2 cumulative GPA
  • Preference given to incoming freshman
  • Preference given to Clovis High School graduates who are English majors, otherwise award will be given to another English major
  • Scholarship is to be used for tuition, books and fees. Not intended for extra curricular expenses

Portales Homes Scholarship in Business
Who is Eligible?
  • College of Business majors
  
Requirements
  • Full-time student
  • 2.5 cumulative GPA
  • Undergraduate and graduate student scholarship
  • Preference given to current ENMU students involved in student government or who are members of a fraternity or sorority
  • Incoming freshmen must demonstrate leadership and involvement in school and community activities and/or service projects and organizations
  • A paid internship may be available for The recipient at Portales Homes (this internship is voluntary and will be by mutual agreement between both parties)

  • If student was awarded as an incoming freshman, to be eligible for renewal he/she must follow criteria by being involved in Student Government or a fraternity or sorority

Each college awards scholarships to qualified students demonstrating academic excellence. Most scholarship recipients must be full-time students. Many scholarships have been set up through endowments or trusts by benefactors of the University. These scholarships are awarded based on the criteria set by the donors. The amounts of these scholarships are determined by the amount of interest earned on the donation, which may change from year to year.

Scholarships are awarded for the academic year. This means that the total amount is divided between the fall and spring semesters. If a student graduates in December, only the fall portion will be awarded.

Many scholarships are renewable. To be eligible to receive a scholarship again, you must reapply each year.

All scholarship recipients who receive an ENMU Foundation scholarship must adhere to the following:

  • Send a letter to thank the donors of the scholarship
  • Return the “Acceptance Agreement” form to the ENMU Foundation
  • Attend the annual awards assembly

Failure to comply will result in the loss of the scholarship.
