Message:

At ENMU, we are fortunate to report no new cases of H1N1 this week.

The H1N1 vaccine is expected from the state health department as it becomes available. At the present time, we have not been notified of a specific delivery date.

The New Mexico Department of Health is reporting a decrease in the percentage of people seeking health care services with influenza–like symptoms this week, and the neighboring state of Texas is now reporting regional, rather than widespread, H1N1 incidence.

For the first time in 10 weeks, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) is reporting a decrease in the number of cases of H1N1 in the United States.   Further global and national details are available at www.cdc.gov.

ENMU reminds its employees and students to practice all precautions, including washing hands frequently, disinfecting computer equipment, door handles and other surfaces. Use tissues and discard them after coughing or sneezing.

Total number of H1N1 cases at ENMU: 74
Number recovered, returned to school: 72
Number of new cases reported this week: 0
