Bio: This presentation is a tribute to the many Hispanic women of New Mexico whose stories and contributions to the state have not been told. Co-sponsored with New Mexico Humanities Council.

Description: Colonel Heather L Buono is the Commander of the 27th Special Operations Mission Support Group at Cannon Air Force Base, N.M. The 27 SOMSG provides base support and services activities to ensure mission readiness of the 27th Special Operations Wing. Col. Buono will tribute the influence of women in the military.

"César Chávez Blood Drive"

Nationwide event where 250 universities join together to set a goal to donate blood to United Blood Services commemorating this leader in the Hispanic world.

Diaper and Wipes Drive

Hispanic Affairs is sponsoring a diaper and wipes drive to help young expecting mothers at the nonprofit Pregnancy Resource Center.
Start-End: March 5th- April 17th
Donation Locations: CDC Lobby and Hispanic Affairs Office

MAY
"Graduates Honoring Banquet"

This event is to honor the achievements of students graduating in the Spring 2014 by receiving a sash from the country of origin, Kente or tribal sash. This year's theme is "Spain". President Gamble will sash students. A dinner will be provided followed by entertainment from "Pasión Flamenca." It's a FREE event for graduates and Hispanic students who are full time at ENMU. Any other guests will be $15.00. Deadline for RSVP is by April 24th 2014.

If you are a graduating student please RSVP by email and provide the following information:

Full First and Last name
Country of origin (example: I am Hispanic and my origins come from Mexico, Puerto Rico, Spain, or any of the 22 Spanish speaking countries, I receive the sash from that country)
Graduates in May. Register for Commencement with Registrar's.
Degree
Full names of two guests that you would like to bring to the event.
A yes or no response if you would like to say "How ENMU has impacted your life"
