ENMU – Portales will be closed for the Thanksgiving holiday break following the conclusion of all night classes on Tuesday, November 22, and will reopen with its normal schedule on Monday, November 28. Please note that all Tuesday night (Nov 22) classes will be held as scheduled.
University buildings will be closed during this holiday period in order to reduce utility costs. Please note that Golden Library and University Computer Center will be open from noon to midnight on Sunday, November 27.
Wednesday, November 23, will be observed as a mandatory vacation day for staff.
Employees' vacation accruals will be used to cover their normal schedule on Wednesday. Employees who have been with the University less than 3 months and are not permitted to use their annual vacation accrual per university policy or have insufficient annual leave balances should contact the office of Human Resources to inquire about the use of future vacation accumulations. Support staff may use compensatory time if balances are available. There will be no alternate assignments available for Wednesday, November 23.
Students' checks will be available for release at the Cashier's Office on Tuesday, November 22. Direct deposits will be processed as usual with a deposit date of Friday, November 25. ENMU non-student checks will be available for release in the Human Resource Office, Admin 113, between 2:00 and 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 22. Checks that are not picked up will be mailed on Monday, November 28.
