Brett Leach

Brett Leach

Mr. Brett Leach, appointed to the ENMU Board of Regents in February 2011, served as vice president of the Board in 2012 and was elected president in 2013. Mr. Leach was born in Portales, graduated from Portales High School in 1965, and earned bachelor's and master's degrees in psychology from ENMU in1969 and 1971, respectively. He was the instructor and director of Law Enforcement Education at the ENMU-Clovis campus in the 1970s before starting a long career in the financial sector. Currently, he is a financial consultant for Southwest Securities, Inc. in Roswell. Mr. Leach is past president of the Roswell Sunrise Rotary and the Chaves County CASA Program. He and wife, Andrea, reside in Roswell.

Jane Christensen

Jane Christensen

Mrs. Jane Christensen was appointed to the Board of Regents in February 2013 and was elected vice president for the Board in March. She is a Portales native and ENMU alumna, earning her bachelor's and master's degrees in business administration (1981 and 1983). Mrs. Christensen is an avid supporter of ENMU sports, fine arts, student groups, and clubs. As owner of Portales Homes LLC. DBA Homespot in Portales and Clovis, she sponsors a business scholarship through the ENMU Foundation. Active in the community as well, Mrs. Christensen has served as commissioner on the Alamogordo Museum of Space History Board and as a member of the ENMU College of Business Advisory Committee; she is currently a member of the Portales Military Affairs Committee. Mrs. Christensen was an exchange student to Japan while attending ENMU, and she has continued that international experience by hosting five high school exchange students in past years, one of whom later graduated from ENMU. Mrs. Christensen and her husband Scott raised two children who graduated from New Mexico universities and are working in New Mexico.

Chase Sturdevant

Mr. Chase Sturdevant was appointed as the student member of the Board of Regents in January 2013. He was elected as secretary/treasurer for the Board in March. Mr. Sturdevant is a Psychology major and an active member of the student body. He has been a member of the ENMU marching and symphonic bands and the ENMU choir. Mr. Sturdevant has served as an officer of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity and is a charter member and vice president of Circle K International. In addition, he has been very active in the campus political scene as a member of the Associated Students of Eastern New Mexico University (ASENMU). Mr. Sturdevant, a native of Piños Altos, NM, is interested in pursuing a career as a substance abuse counselor and perhaps one day operating his own clinic.

Chad Lydick

Chad Lydick

Mr. Chad Lydick joined the Board of Regents in February 2008. He served as secretary/treasurer in 2009, vice president in 2010 and president of the Board in 2011. A New Mexico native, he attended schools in Portales and Clovis and earned a bachelor's degree in civil engineering from New Mexico State University in 1972. He is active in community affairs, having served as a Clovis City Commissioner, past president of the Clovis Chamber of Commerce and current member of the Washington committee for the "Committee of 50" that supports Cannon Air Force Base. Mr. Lydick was honored as "Citizen of the Year" in 2005 by both the Clovis Board of Realtors and the Clovis Chamber of Commerce. He is the owner of Lydick Engineers & Surveyors Inc. in Clovis. He and his wife, Vickie, reside in Clovis and have two children.

Randy Harris

Randy Harris

Mr. Randy Harris was the president of the Board of Regents for 2012. He was appointed in December 2008 and served as vice president in 2011. He has been active in the banking business since 1979, and is currently CEO and president of Bank of Clovis. He has served on the New Mexico Military Base Planning Commission, the New Mexico Finance Authority Commission, the Clovis Chamber of Commerce and the New Mexico Bankers Association. He was honored with the ENMU Alumni Association's Honorary Lifetime Achievement Award in 2006, the New Mexico Distinguished Citizen in 2006 and Clovis Citizen of the Year in 2004. Mr. Harris is a graduate of Clovis High School and West Texas A&M University. He and his wife, Cindy, reside in Clovis and have one daughter.
