Vocal Music

ENMU's vocal music program trains classical singing performers and prospective vocal and choral educators. To directly engage you, our academic experiences range from one-on-one studio lessons with voice faculty to voice classes where students are taught proper techniques for singing in group settings. Courses may include vocal and choral literature, foreign language diction, choral conducting and methods, and vocal pedagogy, depending on the specific degree plan. Scholarships are available for qualified applicants.

University Choirs

Our choral ensembles include University Singers, Chamber Singers and Swanee Singers. Our choirs perform a wide variety of repertoire from the 15th century to the present. You can expect to perform excellent choral repertoire with other highly talented musicians in five to six concerts per year. Other exciting experiences in which ENMU choir members participate include performing major works with state and regional orchestras, including the Santa Fe Symphony, Roswell Symphony and the Amarillo Symphony. The ENMU Choirs also tour yearly, both in-state and abroad, having recently completed performance tours to China, Europe and New York City.

View the Arts and Culture Calendar for our next performances.
